Chroma Girl - Lincoln Road, South Beach
I worked on this project following the interior designer's
design scheme of the women's clothing store located in the popular area of Miami Beach known as South Beach. The
existing space presented many obstacles for a high end clothing store renovation. Most significant was to resolve
the problem of complying with current building codes for an old historic building. These were resolved by my employer
William Lane and my assistance. These included handicapped, electrical and fire codes where I
did most of the expediting for permit and revisions. I drafted all the architectural construction documents including
coordination with the engineering disciplines.
The photograph shows the existing storefront and the existing
terrazzo maintained as required. The existing interior terrazzo floor was polished and preserved as required by the
city's historic preservation demands.
