Christopher Columbus High School Baseball Field
This baseball field renovation project consisted of making a college level field
for a private Catholic high school in Miami, Florida. The initial design was conceived by another architect other than my employer.
Rafael Sixto inhereted the project in continuing the design of the dugout and pavilion structures.
Because of the complexity of the project the baseball field was renovated in a
construction phase prior to the construction of the pavilion. The field was done in the same year that the school's baseball team
won the State of Florida Championship.
The image above is an artist's rendering. The baseball field has feel of stadium-like
park with select and regular seating, batting cages, walkways and homerun wall with built in scoreboard.
